Le Paris is our new local. It's gorgeous and we will certainly post a picture in due course. G has downed une biere belgique and i have had my first vin rouge: just a cotes du rhone... it's amazing how my urge to drink beer disappeared as soon as we hit the chunnel.
Geoff has been inspired by the bar guy's barista technique. He doesn't bang out the coffee grounds, but throws them across the bar in the general direction (presumably) of the receptacle.
Apart from the train being super full the metro ride was straightforward and our station - bregeut sabin - is just a few steps from the hotel.
Some wide boy at gare du nord tried to "help" us but we sent him away and he quickly found some hapless americans to pester. Very pleasing...
the ease of moving from London to Paris rather brings home nz's distance from everything. Don't really have anything else to say about that.
and, we have free wifi at our gorgeous hotel... very happy :)
