watching House in French

have seen it before but don't really get it - oh well... 13 has an annoying voice in French...

great day today, despite the hail. Versailles was grand and the train trip was good fun as well.

The arctic winds (or some freezingly cold winds from somewhere) are howling around Paris and it's brought us back with a bump - as the last few days have been lovely, springy, borderline summery. Shame it had to hit just as we hit the very extensive gardens at Versailles...

Had a drink or two at a lovely bar which has been there since about 1919 - we think - the bar tender became very interested in us and kindly shouted us a round of drinks and engaged us in conversation - after Geoff insisted on telling him we were from New Zealand and that we really like Paris. We kind of chatted - he had no English - i had a wee bit of French but didn't really understand what he was saying. Long story short we swapped email addresses but I'm not sure why... thanks Geoffrey. I guess time will tell...

We had dinner at Chez Paul. A lamb dish for two - bloody gorgeous. Pictures will be posted. The evening ended with a weird rum, spice, concoction at Le Paris (our local) and coffees. Lots of fun.

Can't believe we only have one and a bit more days here.

Despite the plummeting temperatures we <3 Paris in the Springtime...
