another freezing cold day - approaching the ferry and they just mooch along as though enjoying the gorgeous spring weather.
waiting for the ferry they ask, can you let us on the pier so we can shelter? They open the gate and all the poms go and stand in the teeth of the wind, leaving us to enjoy the glass house waiting room alone... not that we'd judge - and we embrace diversity (Geoff is worried about this mean post)
we have discovered today that yesterday's ferry ride was a tad fraudulent on our part - i thought it was covered by our oyster; Geoff didn't. Anyway, no one approached for tickets so we enjoyed our ride.
Today we learned that it costs four quid each - even with an oyster. Blimey!
G says that gives proof to the lie that London is our oyster... *sigh*
We've just banged into the wharf at the latest stop - if you don't get any more posts you'll know that they hit it a wee bit too hard... shocking day for a swim in the Thames...
