Then, to make up for the over priced cafe lunch yesterday, we've fetched up at macdonald's. Hats off to the frogs, one of the drinks choices here is Heineken.

Hail and beer
Interesting day so far... Made it to Versailles in the sun, but it is cold today and many grey clouds were looming. As soon as we'd made it in we bolted for the gardens hoping to beat the rain. We even got a little cart to speed things up. To no avail. It rained; it hailed. G got drenched a droit; I got drenched a gauche. Freezing, bay!

to be fair, we covered the palace at a pretty good clip - we both have bad memories of childhood museum torture and don't see the necessity of mucking about - don't know if there are speed records for getting round the gardens but we gave our cart a fair old workout as well :)
